【Hong Kong Badminton Open】Top players Introduction! Indonesia and China’s World Top 2 Men’s Doubles Pairs

After introducing the Men’s Singles players of the “YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open 2018”, we will focus on the Men’s Doubles pairs, Indonesian’s World No.1 Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/ Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and China’s World No.2 Li Junhui/ Liu Yuchen.

The Indonesian players has partnered up for the Doubles event since 2015. They have won the All England two times in a row in 2017 and 2018. In 2017, they snatched the World Superseries Finals and Hong Kong Open. The pair also won the Asian Games’ Gold in this August. 22-year-old Sukamuljo is known by his impressive skills, especially in the front court and his ability to read the game. The two players are invincible to defend their title in the Hong Kong Open.

The World No.2 Chinese pair Li Junhui/ Liu Yuchen has been partnered up since they were in junior team. They have great chemistry and connection. With their advantage of height (1.95m and 1.93m), the ‘Giants’ of badminton have reached World No.1 in April last year. They have also won a silver in Asian Championships and World Championships. Last year, the two lost in semi-finals. Fans are expecting them to take revenge this year.

“YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open 2018” will be held from 13th to 18th November at Hong Kong Coliseum.
