【#Hong Kong Badminton Open 2019】Hong Kong will send their best team!
“YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2019 part of the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500” will be held from 12th to 17th November at Hong Kong Coliseum. Hong Kong will send their best players including Men’s Single Ace Ng Ka Long and Mixed Doubles duo Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet to fight on own soil for medals and Olympic qualification.
12 elite players will represent Hong Kong for this year’s competition. Ng Ka Long who is currently ranked 10th in the World Men’s Singles has made surprises at home including the defeat of China’s No. 1 player Lin Dan in 2015 and winning the championships in 2016. He has won a silver medal in the Thailand Open and finished semi-finalist in the All England Open Badminton Championships this year. He will return to the home ground with a strong position and is expected to make more surprises for the local fans.
As for the Hong Kong team’s ace duo and World No.11 Mixed Doubles pair Tang/ Tse, they are back on their winning track after Tse Ying Suet’s six months recovery from her injury in last year’s Hong Kong Open. The two have just taken the Chinese Taipei Open and their performance is rising to the peak.

Tickets of “YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2019” will be available for sale from 11th October 2019 at URBTIX (www.urbtix.hk). Ticket prices are same as last year from $40 to $680. Concession tickets are available for students and senior citizens in some of the sessions. Don’t miss your chance, get your tickets as soon as possible!
Entry tickets to qualifying rounds and round of 32 of Mixed Doubles on 12th November (Tuesday) is free for distribution. Interested parties can send self-address envelope with stamp $2 to HKBA office, four tickets are distributed for each person while tickets are available.
