Competition Highlight Video Lives up Atmosphere in Opening Ceremony of Hong Kong Open

The six-day “YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2019” came to the last day today (Nov 17) at Hong Kong Coliseum, featuring five finals. Prior to the commencement of the matches, a simple and grand opening ceremony was held to mark the occasion with a highlight video of the finalists for fans to enjoy and get ready for the exhilarating games!

The opening ceremony of the finals was officiated by Mr. Tong Wai Lun, BBS, MH, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Badminton Association Limited; Mrs Cherry Tse Ling Kit Ching, JP, Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs Bureau; Mr. Vincent Liu Ming Kwong, JP, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services; Mr. Karl Kwok Chi-leung, BBS, MH, Chairman of Major Sports Event Committee; Mr. Kho Kai Hwa, Sunrise & Co. (Pte) Limited Representative; Mr. Brian Hui, Head of Customer Propositions & Marketing, Hong Kong, Retail Banking and Wealth Management, HSBC; and other honorable guests.

In the ceremony, Mr. Tong Wai Lun presented souvenirs to the representative of the title sponsor of “YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2019”, Mr. Kho Kai Hwa, as well as Mr. Brian Hui, Head of Customer Propositions & Marketing, Hong Kong, Retail Banking and Wealth Management, HSBC. The highlight video of the finalists over the matches of the past few days was also broadcasted during the ceremony for audiences to revel in the exciting moments and get prepared for the ensuing five finals!
