Giant 3D Badminton Painting Backdrops installed at Hong Kong Coliseum To Celebrate the Hong Kong Badminton Open Officially Kicked off

YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2015 has started today at the Hong Kong Coliseum and attracted a large number of local fans to support their home town hero. 3 giant 3D backdrops were set up outside of the venue by Organizer for the first time ever. Fans can take photos with their favorite badminton players in front of the backdrops.

The 3 giant 3D painting backdrops were installed outside of the blue gate of the Hong Kong coliseum. One of them was a painting with China’s Lin Dan playing against Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei. Fans can take pictures pretending themselves as the two player’s teammates on the court. The other 2 paintings’ theme was Hong Kong famous monuments with Hong Kong players. Lots of spectators and even the tournament officials have lined up to take photos.

Ms. Janet Wong Chin-kiu, Principal Assistant Secretary, Development Bureau of HKSAR Government, a badminton lover has also visited the 3D paintings and took photos today. Besides promoting badminton, organizer would also like to take this opportunity to introduce the monuments of Hong Kong through this international event in order to promote Hong Kong’s tourism development.
These innovative backdrops are open to public for free. Fans can take pictures with Yip Pui Yin, Wei Nan, Hu Yun, Chau Hoi Wah, Cheung Ngan Yi, Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei in front of the backdrops during the event period.
