Honorable Guests officiated the Opening Ceremony of Hong Kong Open

The Opening Ceremony of YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2015 was held at the Hong Kong Coliseum today. The officiating Guests included: Hon Ma Fung Kwok, SBS, JP, Legislative Council, Mr. Timothy Fok, GBS,JP, President of Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, Dr. Tong Yun Kai, SBS, MBE, DBA, President of Hong Kong Badminton Association Limited, Mr. William Ko Wai Lam, MH, BBS, Chairman of Major Sports Events Committee, Mr. Tong Wai Lun, MH, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Badminton Association Limited, Mr. Virkam Dhar, Country Head Manager – India, Surise & Company Pte Limited and Mr. Lennard Yong, Chief Executive Officer, MetLife Hong Kong.

The Guests kick off the Opening Ceremony by turning on the lights on a giant shuttle cock. Asia well known Beatbox Artist RX WONG Ho Pong was invited to perform for the ceremony. He used several world top player names including Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, Ng Ka Long to rap out a song which also lifted up the whole atmosphere.
